Personally, I'm hoping that President-Elect Obama will be too busy futzing with the economy and dealing with foreign affairs to keep his promise to Planned Parenthood. In the meantime, let us all pray that our "unalienable right to life" will be protected for ALL Americans, even those awaiting birth.

Between the statement released from the USCCB, and various petitions, we should have made our position fairly clear. If the new president does follow through with his promise to PP/NOW/NARAL, it will be not only to his own peril, but the peril of the bishops and "catholic" theologians who kept silent or soft-pedaled his abortion support during the election.
On a separate note, thank you for your condolences and prayers for my sister and her family. I'm flying east for Thanksgiving to spend some time with them and the rest of our clan.
